 Rajasthan a hot tourism destination is now getting to promote Rural Tourism during a big way. The government has issued directions to all or any district collectors and chief executive Officers of zila parishads that rural tourism are often built around themes like cultural heritage, historical monuments, handicrafts, social and cultural life, wild life and eco-tourism. As per the directions, villages falling on the tourism circuit main

routes or slightly faraway from the most routes are often selected on the idea of anybody theme.

These villages are often developed to draw in tourism enroute to major tourist destinations within the district. Special projects for development of such villages would even be prepared under the Border Area Development Programme to be funded by the Union government through special grant. On account of promotion of rural tourism benefits like creation of
employment by fixing restaurants, dabas, tourist guides, performances of cultural troops, direct sale of handicrafts and humanities manufactured by self help groups (SHGs) and native artisans and revenue of village panchayats through levy of tourists entry charges, option of parking places, renting of outlets could accrue to the villages.

Government is taking many steps to market Tours to Rajasthan viz. it's been directed that while preparing the village development plan aside from the social and economic infrastructure and services, items like cleanliness of villages under the entire sanitation scheme, construction of community toilets of top quality and arrangements for maintenance, suitable parking place for the vehicles, village connectivity through all weather road with the most route, beverage arrangements at the tourist sites, handicraft bazar, places for restaurants and dhabas, platforms for performing artists, puppet shows, systematic and intensive tree plantation within the village and particularly on places to be visited by the tourists, arrangements for communication services, development of heritage and historical sites within the village and to supply houses to those having no house should even be included.

Keeping in sight these objectives the district collectors are asked to spot villages which will promote rural Tourism in Rajasthan and prepare an exhaustive development plan of the village as per the rules and send it for the approval of the government .

 The Karnataka government has imposed restrictions on travel on people coming from Kerala. This comes after two clusters have been reported in Bengaluru. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is on its feet after 42 pupils from nursing college in RT Nagar and 103 inhabitants of an apartment in Bommanhalli tested positive.
